Dear Friends and Loved Ones,

We write this letter for two purposes:

First to keep you up to date of our current and future plans and second to allow you to consider becoming partners with us in this effort.

As you may already know, Rosemary and I have been planning to move as full time missionaries to the Dominican Republic (an island in the Caribbean where I am from) sometime in the near future.

Part of our mission there will be to work with the youth and the children of a poor community called Cambita in the southern part of the Island. In order to accomplish this, we would like to build a modest facility that will serve for multiple purposes. We want to build a facility that can be used as a meeting place for services, for a basketball court and for other sport and social related activities.

Along with this main building, we would like to build what would be the first playground in town, so that the children will have place to come and play, like children are supposed to do (See building).

Please, see the attached pictures that will show an approximate plan of our project there.

Our local church, Resurrection Life Church, located in Granville, Michigan, will help us with part of the cost of this project, but we want to give you an opportunity to become a partner with us in this project.

We need to raise $50,000 in order to pay for the construction of this project. As we are contacting you, we are also contacting many other friends, family members, and Christian brothers and sisters. God promises that if you plant a good seed, eventually you will reap a plentiful harvest. That is why we are inviting you to partner with us in this project by donating some of your resources and in doing so, you will help to provide relief for the impoverished people of this third world country.

These children are in need of a place where they can learn about God's love and a place where then can have fun, like all children should!

As missionaries we plan to help people in different ways and through many future projects. So along with your contribution, we would like to ask you to let us know whether you would like us to continue to keep you informed of our progress by receiving our quarterly newsletter (also, you may want to join one of our mission trips in the future). You can do so by filling out the small card that we have attached to this letter.
